I'm not quite sure how it happened, but I've been here for 3 & 1/2 weeks. In all the months that I prepared to come up here, I never really thought much beyond getting myself onto the plane. Can you believe that the world actually continues spinning after you leave Vernal?That doesn't mean that seeing scruffy bearded men in hip boots skinning fish on their front lawn doesn't make me wonder how I ended up here. It surprises me greatly that after 10 years of saying Alaska is to0 far from home....suddenly I actually live here.
The good news is, that this is my husbands dream. Scruffy bearded me, hip waders, fish and all. Lucky for me I never have to look very for for the reason that I'm here.
To My Love: My life would be very different without you, but I wouldn't change it for anything. I love you Babe.

Finally I made it to your blog. You have done a great job setting it up. You have some great pictures. This picture of Brent is really good.
Rachel, keep your head up and remember life's what you make it. You and the kids look happy in your photo's.
Just give Alaska time. I at least want to make a trip up there before you decide to call it quits.
I didn't realize how wet and cold it really is. I think you are trying to make the most out of it. I know that kids are very good at adapting to change. I believe they may be more at peace knowing their dad is close by.
